FIA FORUM: THE PROPOSITIONS ON THE NOVEMBER BALLOT: PRO'S AND CON'S WITH THE LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS
From 1pm to 2pm on September 12, 2010, a member of the League of Women Voters trained on the Pros & Cons of the propositions on the November 2010 ballot will speak at a Congregational Town Hall Meeting. If anyone wants to begin to get up to speed on the issues, the CA Secretary of State's voter guide is now available at http://voterguide.sos.ca.gov. The state printed copies will be sent out October 1.

As UUs, we live out our beliefs through our beliefs in social justice and service toward others. When we come together, OCUUC builds its communities through its Faith in Action Council.
We build just communities and work toward justice through the following organized committees:
• AIDS Team Ministry, our long-standing commitment to those in Orange County who are HIV-positive
• Circulo de Amigas, our long-standing commitment to a rural village in Nicaragua
• Community Service with other organizations in Orange County
• Green Sanctuary, promoting earth ministries and the interdependent web in which we live
• Interfaith, outreach to other communities of faith
• Collaborative work with Share Our Selves
• Advocacy through the Unitarian Universalist Legislative Ministry of California
• Learning about worldwide causes through the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee
• OCUUC is a Welcoming Congregation and works toward inclusivity of the LGBT community
