Dear UU Friends and Members of the Seventh Principle Project,
Will you help the Seventh Principle Project put Rev. Bill Sinkford at the top of the list?
Rev. Sinkford has just signed on as a member the cyber march on Global Warming.
In his statement Sinkford says: "I join this cyber march against global warming, and encourage other Unitarian Universalists to do so, because it is an act of faith to speak out on behalf of our earth. For hundreds of years, our theology has been radically incarnational—we do not understand the Holy to be separate from this life, on this planet, made manifest in concrete acts of caring for one another in our mutual vulnerability. As we sing out praises for the beauty of the earth, we also sing out commitment to protect that beauty."
Sinkford's complete statement can be found at

Sinkford, who is appealing to Unitarian Universalists to participate in the virtual march, is joined in his support of this effort by a diverse group of religious leaders, politicians, and public figures. They include Sens. John McCain and Joseph Lieberman, General Wesley Clark, Rabbi David Saperstein, actor Leonardo DiCaprio, and former Vice President Al Gore.
All who UUs who answer this call will be tallied under Rev. Sinkford’s name:

By adding your signature under Rev. Sinkford’s name you will be sending two strong signals. The first will signal our political leaders that there is a vast consensus among the American public that global warming is an urgent concern that demands immediate attention. In addition, we as Unitarian Universalists and members of the Seventh Principle Project have an unprecedented opportunity to signal to the UUA Board of Trustees and the Rev. Sinkford the depth of our concern for Earth and for the threat of global warming.
Please sign on today and launch an effort in your congregation to ask every UU to do so.
Many thanks for responding to this opportunity.
