p.m. Social Gathering
Come One, Come All!!! The young adult community would like to invite all
members of the OCUUC community to our bi-weekly Contemplative Service.
This time together will provide us with an opportunity to both build community
and have individual meditation space. During the Service we will enjoy,
Readings, Music, Time for Mediation/Personal Reflection, and Communal Joys
and Sorrows. The Service is held in the sanctuary and there are areas designated
for art, reading, and moving mediations such as tai chi. Our intent is
to introduce the community to new forms of mediation which may be practiced
during the two weeks between services or for however long they serve to
be helpful.
The Meditation leader will be Tim Medley.

elcome to Orange Coast Unitarian Universalist Church, where we
joyfully celebrate life and work on healing a wounded world,
thus living out our three-fold purpose of seeking truth, building
just communities, and caring for one another. We are a liberal
congregation that is a member of the larger Unitarian Universalist
movement. As such we find fulfillment in being together in many ways:
we worship weekly on Sunday mornings, we join together in efforts to
create justice in the world through projects like our AIDS Team
ministry and periodic assistance to families in need,
we come together in committees and task forces to create and maintain
our beloved community, and we choose to come together to celebrate
and be social. We learn together in classes studying our own faith
tradition and world religions, as well as expressing our concern for
the world through anti-oppression studies and environmental groups.
In our community you will find ways to live out all of these aspects of life and more.
Ours is a welcoming community encompassing differing cultural backgrounds,
lifestyles, and religious perspectives. We enjoy
the rich diversity of our many perspectives and customs. The congregation
is self-governed which leads to a strong sense of personal ministry for
many within the congregation. It is my pleasure to work with many church
members in creating the community we have, in furthering the life journey
we are all on, and in reaching out to the rest of the world.
Please come join with us in this most wonderful work.
Go shining, Karen Stoyanoff, Minister
