The easiest way to make friends and to become a part of the OCUUC community
is to join a Covenant Group. These groups consist of 8 or 10 people who
covenant to participate for a specific amount of time, usually a six-month
period. The covenant groups are formed mostly on the basis of geographic
location, but many groups are comprised of people who live in different
parts of the county.

The Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPS)
is an organization dedicated to networking Pagan-identified Unitarian
Universalists (UUs), educating people about Paganism, promoting interfaith
dialogue, developing Pagan liturgies and theologies, and supporting
Pagan-identified UU religious professionals.
Our Local Chapter
The Orange Coast Unitarian Universalist Church's
CUUPs group is family-oriented with an emphasis on exploring the
many aspects of Neo-Paganism. Discussion topics have included "How
Unitarian Universalism and Paganism are Similar" to "Your
Favorite Pagan Book Book Review". Guests speakers have spoken
on topics such as the Tarot and Honoring Mother Earth through Social
Activism. Future events in 2005/2006 will include "Exploring
the Pagan Classics" and "Authors and Artists Up Close" with
guest Pagan authors and speakers, field trips, workshops, crafts,
Rituals and more. Children and youth are included in our meetings
and events. For more information on our local chapter, call the church,
(949) 646-4652, or e-mail us.

One of the great advantages a UU choir
has over other church choirs is that it is not limited to singing
sacred music. Rather, our choir sings secular and sacred works in
a variety of classical and contemporary genres.
Whether secular or sacred, our anthems help make the Sunday service
stimulating, inspirational, moving, worthwhile, and memorable.
For more details about the adult choir, including information about
how to join, visit the Adult
Choir page. |

We meet to make friends, get better acquainted with
men we already know, to share our joys, sorrows, and everyday events
with other men in a safe environment, to help one another if we can,
and to build a stronger community of men at OCUUC. We welcome any and
all men who are members or friends of the church or are visitors. |
UU Ministry
for Earth |
The
UU Ministry for Earth is an affiliate organization
of the Unitarian Universalist Association. The mission is to facilitate
and support the work of Unitarian Universalists by affirming and promoting
the Seventh Principle of the UUA, "Respect for the interdependent
web of all existence of which we are a part." Members believe
that the Earth is in peril from human activities, and for us as people
of faith, this is a moral and spiritual crisis of utmost importance.

Gatherings |
A new group has organized at OCUUC to promote community
among newcomers, visitors, and members through fun “gatherings.” Bi-monthly
meetings are held every second Tuesday at 7:30.
We are always looking for new ideas for gatherings. For more information
about Gatherings, contact Maurice Giss. |
