Opportunities for Involvement
It is our desire to energize and encourage participation in OCUUC volunteer activities. The Volunteer Coordinator is the central source for those looking for volunteer opportunities and those seeking volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator is knowledgeable about the current status of all OCUUC committees and their membership as well as very familiar with volunteer coordinating agencies in Orange County based on personal contacts and visits with key staff of these agencies.
The Survey for Orange Coast UU Church
A big help with understanding who we are and what our strengths are (and preventing
burnout), will be for you to fill out the member survey, which you can obtain
by clicking here. If you have Acrobat (not
just Reader) on your computer, you can fill it out on screen, save it, and
e-mail it back to me at VolunteerCoordinator@ocuuc.org.
If not, you can still fill it out on screen, then print it, and bring it or
mail it to the church. Either put it in the Volunteer Coordinator folder in
the Social Hall, or bring it to the Opportunities for Involvement table on
the patio.
Volunteer Agencies for 50-50-50 Work
The following agencies in Orange County always have a need for volunteer help.
Find something that fits with your interests and give them a hand. I have
personally met with the volunteer directors of each of the organizations
below, and they are very excited about any help we can give them.
Click on either their image on the left or their name on the right to be taken
to their respective web sites, where you will find a wealth of information
about them. I have printed literature and, in many cases, volunteer sign-up
forms from each of them. Please see me at the 50-50-50 table each Sunday after
each service for more information.
